Fourth of July Celebration in Grandville
The Grandville 4th of July Celebration is organized by the Grandville Parks and Recreation Board to celebrate our nations independence. We welcome our residents and the many visitors who come to celebrate this holiday with us and our many community partners.

9:00 am – 5:00 pm #10 Schoolhouse Open House, HERITAGE PARK (4264 Canal Ave SW)
The No. 10 Schoolhouse is located in Heritage Park and acts as a living museum. It includes a working classroom complete with desks and a replica school marm’s quarters. A hands-on exhibit allows children to interact with typewriters, rotary phones, and various military uniforms. Special arrangements to tour the schoolhouse can be made; contact City Hall at 616-531-3030 for more information or visit the Grandville Historical Commission on Facebook.
Sunday, July 1
Outdoor Concert at WEDGWOOD PARK – 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm Dueling Piano Show, Grandville Community Choir & Rock Urban Church – Pack a picnic and bring your own chairs.
Tuesday, July 3
WEDGWOOD PARK – 4:00 pm Little League All-Star Game | 7:00 pm Badges vs. Hoses Softball Game – Annual softball game between Grandville’s Police Department and Fire Department.
Beer, Bands & BBQ” http://grandjen.com/beer-bands-bbq-tuesday-july-3/ 4 pm – 11 pm – Fifth Annual Bands and BBQ moves to a new location (Parking lot corner of Chicago Drive and Washington Street) adds additional food trucks and a Cornhole Tournament to the unofficial Kickoff to Grandville’s 4th of July festivities.
Wednesday, July 4
Many traditions kick off the celebration at the Middle School, such as the Rotary Pancake Breakfast from 7:30 am – 9:30 am and the flag raising at 8:30 am. The Annual Arts and Crafts Show begins at 9 am at Wedgwood Park until 4 pm. ( Vendors still welcome)
Laser Tag, Pickle Ball Instructions and Bike Rodeo have been added to the lineup.
The Parade begins at 11 am down Wilson between 44th Street and Prairie Street., food vendors start at 12 pm and live music begins at 2 pm. See lineup below!
Fireworks AT DARK at the Middle School – You will see that the launch site for the fireworks are being moved this year to Wedgwood Park. This decision was made due to encroaching trees and the inability for a growing number of residents to see the fireworks. More height has been added to the fireworks in the hopes that the show can be enjoyed by more people. No parking will be allowed at Wedgwood Park due to regulations and safety measures.
