I have been serving on the Grandville city council since 2006. If re-elected this will be my fourth full term. Its been my pleasure to work with the city staff and planning commission building our community and helping our businesses grow. I have supported multiple uses of industrial tax abatements for our industrial businesses and rezoning of many properties/parcels to create more opportunities for our commercial business.
I look forward to continuing to be an independent voice on our city council, asking the tough questions so that our community can grow in a positive way for all or residents.
The most important aspect of serving, if re-elected will be to maintain our infrastructure and be prepared to fight blight. As the city ages me must be prepared to continually invest in our neighborhoods.
I have had the pleasure of representing Grandville on different and diverse groups over the 13 years. I currently serve on the board of directors of the Rapid bus system and on the Kent County Waste to Energy Advisory Committee.
If elected I look forward to working on the expansion of the library and our downtown area as well as the re-development of the 28st corridor and keeping Grandville a great place to live.
