2020 Grandville Jenison Chamber of Commerce Leadership Scholarship Recipients

Daniel Wierenga, Grandville Community Scholarship Recipient
I am Grandville born and raised. I am a student at Tri-unity Christian High School where I will soon graduate as the Valedictorian of the Class of 2020. While at TCS I have enjoyed a well-rounded experience including serving as student council president, NHS member, community service volunteer, and varsity athlete including basketball, soccer, golf and cross country. I have decided to attend Liberty University in the fall where I will pursue a degree in business management. I am grateful to the Chamber for this scholarship and hope to one day give back to this community as a local business leader.

Ashley Winger, Ted terHaar Memorial Scholarship Recipient
In the fall of 2020, I will be a business major at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. I plan to pursue additional education in law school upon graduating from Michigan. Programs I hope to join at Michigan so that I can continue to support causes dear to me are Autism Speaks U and the American Civil Liberties Union Undergraduate Chapter. Both organizations seek to serve the underrepresented voices of students like those I have tutored and been able to serve in the past. I am beyond grateful for the Chamber of Commerce’s thoughtfulness in supporting my dreams and goals.
