Gene DeWitt running for Georgetown Township Treasurer. I have just completed 50 years of serving our community in the fire department. I have a desire to continue to serve the community and know that wise stewardship of township funds is good way for me to contribute.
What expertise and strengths are you bringing to the board?
I have been a business operator/owner for 50 years at DeWitts’ Auto. This has equipped me to understand financial management. As a Fire department Deputy Chief I have honed my leadership skills, budget management, and fiscal responsibility.
Why should residents vote for you?
I am a Christian Conservative that is a common sense leader. I do not have any affiliation with any groups and believe both sides of all issues need to be seriously debated before making decisions. We live in a beautiful community and I want to ensure it is able to sustain this well into the future.
