Keaton Hamilton, Son of Rob and Jean Hamilton is the recipient of the Grandville Jenison Chamber’s 2018 $1000 Grandville Community Leadership Scholarship.

A Grandville High School Senior, Keaton will be attending Hope College majoring in pre-med.   In addition to excelling in the classroom, Keaton is 6th in his class and has a 4.306 grade point, he played football, baseball, basketball and was in the marching band playing the tuba. Keaton also served as President of his class executive board, and served as a mentor and tutor for the Robodawgs Robotics Team.

Here is a small excerpt from nomination letter, submitted by Michael Kennedy, Grandville High School Assistant Principal.

“This servant leadership mentality and a strong academic record made Keaton a natural choice for induction into our chapter of the National Honor Society as he demonstrates the four pillars of character, honor, scholarship, and service in his daily life. Just recently, he was voted by his fellow NHS members to serve as our treasurer. He has given his time at the Michigan Blood Bank (donating and working), the D.A. Blodgett Need Drive (to help our homeless population), and most recently at Victory Day (a community event to celebrate our students with disabilities). Keaton is someone his peers and teachers trust and admire. He is a role model for EVERYONE.

Keaton  will be recognized at the Chamber’s Community Awards Reception held on Thursday, April 26. The event is open to the public.
