Victoria Sheetz, daughter of Rita and Christian Tennant is the recipient of the $1000 Ted terHaar Community Leadership Scholarship.  A Jenison High School Senior, Victoria will be attending University of Michigan majoring in mathematics and statistics or psychology.

In addition to outstanding acadamic records, Victoria has been involved in the Jenison Dance Team, The Revival Project/Mental Health Awareness Team and Tutoring to name a few. In her essay she shared how serving as a leader in her class “Bigger Than You” impacted her life in a postitive signifiant way.  She led her group to spread mental health awareness to students, their parents and the community a a whole.  “There are no limits on what I can do to make the world a better place, I just have to step up and put in the hard work it takes to accomplish the change”

Victoria will be recognized at the Chamber’s Community Awards Reception held on Thursday, April 27. The event is open to the public.
