A Message from Hand2Hand Founder & Executive Director
As this school year comes to a close Hand2Hand is now feeding 6,356 kids over the 68 hour gap of the weekend in 167 schools in West Michigan with our 111 church partners. Hand2Hand mobilizes, trains, and provides food and resources to churches to put food directly into the hands of children in their local school who lack food resources over the weekend.
Hand2Hand began11 years ago because 19 children in Jenison lacked weekend food and were coming to school hungry on Monday morning – unable to learn and concentrate. Today we are in every school in Hudsonville, Jenison, and many in Grandville – early childhood through high school – as well as in 38 other local school districts.

A special thank you to the Chamber (Sandy and Heather) for hosting a Chamber service packing event this year for Hand2Hand and for ALL who came out to pack weekend food for kids!
Together we are spreading hope, love, food, and prayers to thousands of kids across West Michigan each weekend…and it all started right here in Jenison!
